🎁 BOXES OF JOY 2025

November Service Event – Share the Spirit of Christmas! 

It’s that wonderful time of year again! Join us as we spread the joy of Christmas to children across the world through our annual Boxes of Joy project — bringing smiles, faith, and love to those served by Catholic Missions. 🌍

📅 When: Thursday, November 7th at 7:00 p.m.
📍 Where: Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Hall

🎄 Evening of the Event: WHAT TO EXPECT

Bring your gifts and join in a fun, faith-filled evening as we:

• 🎁 Assemble boxes filled with gifts and love
  
  
• 💌 Write personal notes to the children receiving them
  
  
• 🎬 Watch a short video to see where your gifts will go
  
  
• 🙏 Conclude with a closing prayer over the boxes
  
  

Please bring $9 per box to cover shipping costs.

🧸 PACKING YOUR BOX OF JOY

Step 1: Choose Boy or Girl
Step 2: Choose an age group 2–4, 5–9, or 10–13
Step 3: Fill your box with a mix of these fun and meaningful gifts!

BEFORE THE EVENT: IDEAS SHOPPING FOR YOUR BOX

🎁 A “WOW” ITEM (one special gift)

Stuffed animal, small backpack, soccer ball w/pump, craft kit, purse, wallet, musical instrument (harmonica, recorder), or watch.

🧼 PERSONAL CARE ITEMS

Brush, comb, toothbrush, bar soap, lip balm, manicure kit, or hair accessories.

✏️ SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Pencils, pens, erasers, solar calculator, paper pads, colored pencils, markers, crayons, gluestick, scissors, stickers, or coloring books.

🧣 CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES

T-shirts, socks, flip-flops, scarves, hats, ponchos, wallets, watches, or sunglasses.

🎨 CRAFTS & ACTIVITIES

Sketchbook, puzzle, binoculars, chalkboard/chalk, cards, garden gloves or trowels (no seeds).

🪀 TOYS

Foam balls, dolls, cars, yo-yos, kites, marbles, small Frisbees, or mini Etch A Sketches.

⛪ OTHER ITEMS

Rosaries, crosses, saint medals, refillable cups, silverware, sewing kits, solar flashlights, drawstring bags.

💌 Don’t forget to include a personal note — your kind words and prayers mean the world!

🍬 CANDY GUIDELINES

✅ Allowed: Candy Canes and Suckers ONLY (place in sealed Ziplock bags)
🚫 Not allowed: Toy weapons, liquids, lotions, medications, vitamins, or breakables (like glass or snow globes).

📦 PACKING DETAILS

We have foldable boxes available, or you may bring your own shoebox (please wrap lids separately).
Processing centers will include stories of Jesus in the local language of each child’s country.

• 💫 HOW PARISHIONERS CAN HELP🛍️ Shop for items and drop them off at the Parish Office before Friday, November 7th.
  
  
• 💌 Sponsor the shipping cost of a box for $9 if you can’t shop.
